I followed some of this when it happened, recognised some of the companies in the trailer like Orient Paper.
Chinese firms were reverse listing on US exchanges, and then post fraudulent numbers to scam investors. I didn’t think it was a big deal, and they since clamped down on reverse listing.
Thanks for the recommendation - just watched the show. It was a really good watch and a real shocker what was allowed to happen. Makes me question whether some of the current valuations are valid.
Interesting seeing the guys who made money shorting the companies. Reminds me of the “The Big Short”.

They shorted Burford Capital and GTT communications in the last few days. They virtually sway the market with their research. Although I do think they will be able to do it nefariously I haven’t looked enough into their recent trades.
