why is free trade still better ?

Not sure what you’re after but they’ve added some Vanguard / iShares ETFs recently - check out the ‘New to Trading 212’ tab on the app.

I just want SWDA fractional. It’s all I’m investing in on there; other than £12 left over going to VUSA

Edit: and they’ve added it less than 24 hours later. I’ve been waiting on a consumer staples ETF to be added here for months -_-

Extended hours trading in the works :eyes:

I was just about to deposit additional funds into FreeTrade but the range of markets and fractional products at T212 at the moment is far superior.

Starting to feel like FT is being left in the dust here? After hours trading, fractional shares, more shares/etfs available. I prefer the FT brand/app, but this is getting a bit much - I can only hope the investment into the backend platform pays off.

Fully agree with implementing this for FT. A comment I made on this before. This would only really benefit the instant trade in my opinion as it’s about price. Maybe if FT were to implement basic orders in 3 zones - pre-market, market hours and post-market it could work

Quickly added as fractional following your request. Impressive.

I’m guilty of putting a request to move my second ISA to them, hope everything will be alright.
I think its too much hype around UK Fintech, not quick may be its UK culture.

If anyone interested look at https://zerodha.com/ Indian company, clean design and on top of that they have some nice things like smallcase : can create your own fund, api etc
There are other companies too but this one I have been following for sometime.

Yeah I was thinking it might have made it in some kind of weekly batch. Surprised it was made available so quickly. Already sold VUSA and added remaining cash to SWDA

There’s an option of an indicator to show if the share is available for fractional transactions:

Very nice - over to you :freetrade: !

How long does it take to switch your ISA over? Has anyone else here moved to T212?

But seriously…

It’s a thread about t212. In other threads I’ve made requests, smashed the like button and convinced around 10 people to join

Posting it may make FT more responsive to stock requests

Bear in mind people are in the process of being migrated to the new ‘Invest’ platform. New platform = thousands more stocks.

To put in perspective, I think they have 600-700 now, so thousands more will be a big step change and must be a much bigger priority than adding 10’s of requests here and there (for now anyway)…

Yes it will be interesting to see what impact it will have. I didn’t sign up to the beta because it has restrictions currently so not sure if new platform features are currently visible

Just got a YouTube ad about fractional shares on T212

I have to say, Trading 212’s becoming increasingly enticing. I already hold one or two stocks on T212 that are unavailable on Freetrade and, for me at least, the user experience has been flawless.

On the other hand, I’ve had too many rejected orders to remember on FT. The platform’s proved unreliable too: I’ve placed multiple orders that FT has failed to fulfill for days.

With stop-loss/limit orders, a web portal and instant commission-free trading on T212, it is ever more difficult to justify keeping the bulk of my investments on FT.

Add to that fractional shares–including on ETFs and UK stocks–and I have to seriously consider switching as much as I may agree with FT’s mission on equity of access to investing.

That said, I will hang fire until the new investment platform drops in the hope that FT’s offer becomes more competitive.

I’m getting this Ad too, even though I watched the vid on their YouTube Channel the day it came out:
