Unsettled Cash Delay

I sold some US shares on 25th October and the cash has still not been settled. Freetrade quote 3 days but it is now 7 days. Is this a common occurrence?

This covers the settlement policy but is mostly what you already know.

Don’t forget this doesn’t include weekends and to account for times zones. Depending on when you executed the trade it sometimes counts as the following day - this is probably what’s happened in this case.

Thanks for the reply. I sold at 3.30pm on Monday 25th so allow another day so Tuesday then 3 days on top I would have expected Friday or maybe Monday this week but still unsettled on Thursday 3rd at 20.30. Hopefully Freetrade will sort it quickly now I have contacted them.
