Update on US stocks

(Alex Sherwood) #22

Here’s a challenge - what’s the cheapest US stock?

#23

From Freetrade’s list I’m going with Snap Inc because it has been suffering at $5.66 :scream:

Actually you can add Fitbit and Go Pro to that as well

(Chris) #24

Surely has to be Ford?

(Vladislav Kozub) #25

(Ford) $8.54 > $5.75 (Snap)

(Chris) #26

Holy crap, dint it IPO at $16 or something like that!?

#27

Chesapeake Energy Corporation ( NYSE:CHK )

(Vladislav Kozub) #28

And we have the winner!

(Chris Patten-Walker) #29

I have been off the platform for a bit. Are US stocks and fractionals now live?

(Vladislav Kozub) #30

The US stocks will be available next month. Fractionals’ date is not yet announced.

(Chris Patten-Walker) #31

Fractionals for UK and US. Surely we know if it’s Q1 or Q4 2019

(Vladislav Kozub) #32

I believe it would be best to wait and see if Freetrade can disclose such information at this point or not

(Chris Patten-Walker) #33

US stocks will help with adoption but not until fractionals are in place will volume come into play.

(Alex Sherwood) #34

10 posts were merged into an existing topic: Walt Disney - DIS

(R) #45

Do we have an ETA for American stocks? I know it was supposed to be this month, and i’m too excited to wait.

(Chris) #46

January 2020 I thought…

#47

Waiting patiently :upside_down_face:

#48

Um, really? They were originally part of the Christmas list but had to be pushed back until after the holidays. Never heard 2020 mentioned.

(Chris) #49

No, not really. Just me being silly.

#50

Phew, had me worried there for a second!
