Vanguard ETFs (EUR denominated and based in Ireland) withholding tax on dividends on Interactive Brokers

Hi,

I am trying to understand how, as a UK resident, Interactive Brokers taxes (withholding tax) dividends on Vanguard and iShares ETFs domiciled in Ireland, EUR-denominated and bought through the AEB exchange.

Normally, I know GBP-denominated Vanguard and iShares ETFs don’t have withholding taxes, but my doubt is for the specific case in which the ETF is traded through a different exchange being denominated in EUR.

I am from the EU, so a small portion of my savings is in EUR for anyone who wonders why I’d need to go into so much trouble.

Thanks to anyone who can shed light on this,

I think you asking in the wrong forum.

Yes, I am aware Interactive Brokers might be a better place, but I was wondering if someone else around here might have had a similar circumstance happening

Message Vanguard and ask, I have in the past they’re very good.
