This has been an interesting debate! There is a case to be made in favour of leveraged ETFs in certain situations of course. However, here’s Freetrade’s position when it comes to leveraged ETFs. As a general rule, we don’t think that margin / leverage exposure is suitable for our audience as we’re building a service for first time investors. Apparently it’s an FCA requirement to only offer leveraged ETFs to “advanced” investors.

I do find it peculiar that another certain provider “T…” is able to offer leverage ETFs like 3QQQ despite FCA restrictions. With over 700k users and counting, I hope Freetrade able to revisit their position in this matter.

Yeah to be honest I’d like to see leveraged ETFs. As an execution only broker they should just offer as much of the investable universe as possible.
It makes no sense to leave out leveraged ETFs on the grounds of “protecting” new investors but add 100s of SPACs
