Can not upgrade plan - technical problem

I want to open a sipp and upgrade my plan but I keep getting an error message on the App.
I take the following steps -

Tap - Open a SIPP
Continue with Plus
tick box
confirm
I get a message…
Something went wrong. A network error occurred. Please try again.

I have tried 3 different wifi networks and 4G. I have rebooted my phone. I signed up and opened the ISA OK on this phone but can not now upgrade or open the sipp.
I have been waiting for 3 days for a reply from freetrade.

Any suggestions?

Hi @col6

The team is aware of a glitch impacting this upgrade flow that you’ve described. They’re investigating now.

Have you tried to accomplish this by:

  • Select manage my plan
  • Upgrade to Plus
  • Then open a SIPP once Plus upgrade is complete

There appears to be an issue arising when customers try to select “Open a SIPP” and then Upgrade to Plus in that flow.

Let me know!

Alex

Thanks for the reply.
Manage my plan gives no option to upgrade.

Under “Plan settings” in Manage your plan, there should be a tab “Change your plan”. If that’s not there, I can probably get someone to do this manually for you.

I’m getting no response from anyone on this at Freetrade following my messages.
Any further advise Alex?

I’ve just reached out to someone in customer service who will get this resolved for you.

I can go to Manage your plan and I can see Plan Settings but there is no option to change anything. There is a message at the bottom to say you have to get in touch to change it.
I have now found a message to me sent yesterday regarding this.
I don’t know why I get notifications on my phone from Freetrade for irrelevant junk I am not interested in but I get no notification about a reply to my message?
