Are there plans to allow customers to migrate their holdings to a different country? (assuming FT is there).

The location of your stock doesn’t change based on where you are. eg your UK stocks will always be in CREST, the UK central securities depository. We will accommodate your change of address though, as long as it is a country we can support from a compliance point of view, and the green list will grow as we expand.

Can you give a simple explanation to ease the GME owners that are panicking about the 25k issue? It’s a subject that gets far too much negativity and even a simple “the limit will stay for at least X months” or something will at least then put it on the backburner

The simple explanation is that our compliance function is not comfortable that we can stand behind our standards on best execution for trades over that size. We will be increasing the limit soon and will do so prudently with our customers’ best outcomes in mind. It Is something we discuss intensely internally to make sure we deliver quality that our customers can trust.

As per one of my questions posted before the meeting:

A personal problem, but possibly shared by others. There’s a strong chance I might have to relocate abroad in the future and I’d like to preserve the tax-free status of my previous ISA allowances, but under FT’s rules I’d currently have to close my ISA or sell all my shares and transfer the cash to another provider who allows me to keep an ISA dormant while out of the country. If I have to go to the effort to transfer my ISA away from FT for this reason, I’d imagine momentum would make it unlik…
