What do you consider as “hit the dip”?
When it stops going down.
Joking aside, I have no figure pinned on it in my head. Will just see how the day progresses and take a punt - or not.
Edit: bought just over 12,000 shares for £500 over hour ago, with some luck I may have bought the dip - price seems to be creeping up again. Difficult to say though with such a volatile stock.
Links to this but it’s not ‘recent news’. I know you’re as excited as me
Thought I bought the dip on Friday, another 9.8% off the share price this morning. Taking a beating. Have faith… long term prospects seem still good and share price probably needed a correction after such a meteoric rise…
Edit: and up again to where we started the day. This stock is an emotional rollercoaster.
Edit: and we’re rocking. Looks like I bought 5% above the dip, still not too bad. Already 10% profit on my Friday purchase.
Yep and me, another 10.5k on the dip
Got my 10k out at 5.2p and back in again at 3.9p earlier today… 30% up since then. Totally more luck than judgement!
Nice one. I’m presuming the ups and downs is by people/institutions activlely trading the shares. But what sort of level of trading is needed to cause such price movements? Does people trading options on the share affect the price too?
I assume that day trading is so riddled with techbro 0-second tradebots that I only jump in when i’m pretty confident there’s a verified trend and they’ll over-correct. Just a dabble with that, most of it is in ETFs that I won’t touch for 15 years.
I expect stop losses and limits play a part too. I never use rounded figures for those if I ever use them (i did one for TSLA, that was a hell of a ride), because humans always attach far too much meaning to them.
Just to recap
8 drill rigs now up from 6. Newcrest are deadly serious about this find.
“This time next year we’ll be millionaires”
I’m in a few small resource companies and as we’ve seen this morning Gold is where people move the money when the markets fall. This morning markets falling yet gold related companies rising. The safety bet when it falls
Rise was somewhat multiplied by the concerns about the Corona virus and Friday’s and today’s plunge of the stock market, with buyers seeking safety in gold and gold producers.
Too late to buy in now?
Seems to have peaked for today, and American markets have rallied with 2% or so at opening, so fears around corona virus may either be receding or already priced in by the market through last week’s drop. I went in first thing in the morning, so took +4%, personally wouldn’t go in today as it currently stands.
Splashed £1k on them early in the morning - caught more than half of today’s rally with that. Seeking to spend more on them once salary and bonus comes in - ASAP.
Also want to stick quite a bit into Bushveld. Got burned with that last week and lost 13% on my initial £500, but long term fundamentals look good. Will let the price bottom out first.
Mining.com running with it too.
Plenty of time for Bushveld. I’m just going to sit on it for a few years and see where we end up.
