Is that’s when the next report is out dropped again might be a little top up before next ex div and we could do with a few more announced divs for future
Hoping they will mention dividends. Can’t be far off as they usually mention the next one before the latest one goes ex.
Despite what has happened to a few of my other holding, DEC seems to be having a good time. All my dividend shares seem to be making a run for it of late.
Lets see what tomorrow brings.
There we go. Shame i was too clever for my own good and went in early but with an ex date next week and the next one announced i’m feeling chipper.
Will keep the Wolf from the door so to speak like to see it get back into the 90’s terrify again esp with inflation and another div announcement
Interesting news relating to an issue on the us stock exchange. As part of this they will be consolidating shares at 20 to 1?
What do you all reckon?
Further to the announcement mentions we can vote on this. Freetrade is there anyway we can cast our vote owning shares through FT?
There’s no point buying shares if they all keep consolidating, like I said happy to take our money,
We should be allowed a vote!!
US companies generally have higher nominal stock prices.
It’s constantly said that DEC needs to be on the US market (other than the OTC).
And that it would make a significant difference to the share price.
1 increase in demand generally.
2 increase in demand due to the dividend.
US companies pay out smaller dividend (fond of buybacks)
I am of course assuming they are going to list on US market??
PS it should (obviously) result in the share price and dividend increasing by 20 times.
PS I will be buying after a bit of research.
Using dividends which were destined for renewables or infrastructure.
Assumption until I do some bog standard research.
I have owned this before.
Your totally wrong it won’t be good, I’d lose over 1650 shares and the dividend will not be 20 X higher! Which would be over $1.11c a share!
I think not… Sorry but that’ll be duff info.
each consolidated share will be worth £14.40 roughly at todays closing price so a dividend of $1.11 is right. You may lose 1650 shares but the new ones you have will have the same monetary value.
Until they cut div with could happen at anytime! And it won’t have the same value they say this before about mgc,
I had £48 before consolidation now it’s £23 so when they say you don’t lose anything! That is indeed wrong again
Today has been full of surprises. I’ll be waiting to see how this plays out. The next divi sneaks in before all this comes to pass but the Feb divi should need an update.
There could be some volatility as this gets digested. The main thing i liked about DEC and most of the other divi stocks i hold is they are around £1. Meaning they have all traded over a pound and sometimes (mostly these days) they have slipped under a pound but £1 is a number that my childlike mind can digest.
If i have some pocket money i can buy something for my £1 and at the moment i even get some change back. £14 or there abouts is a different story. I could buy one of these or 14 or more of something else. Of course it all depends on the size of the divi at the end of the day, and having US listing shouldn’t hurt to get that share price up.
As long as they play fair then i’m not worried. If they want to list in the US and the yield will stay the same until the share prices starts going up then hopefully US investors will jump all over it.
Whatever happens I’d make sure you keep the share numbers in multiples of 20. You don’t want to lose any in consolidation
They give you cash for the odd ones (normally,)
But you still loose the spread as a minimum. Better to follow your advice and top up to make it multiples of 20.
You have three odd weeks to sell your shares if you dont wantto have consolidated shares maybe you need to consider if that is your best course of action. And there is no need to be rude it just reflects badly on you.
Get your mate to do the math then esp if it’s 20/1 esp when don’t know what shares I have!
What a charming and delightful human being you are, I’m sure you make your parents proud.
You are unable to do basic maths.
If you reduce the shares by 95% then each share is worth 20 times more. The same applies to the dividend.
Surely thats obvious?
