Fractional shares in an ISA

I know that Freetrade have said they’re pushing to allow fractional shares in ISAs, and that the Chancellor said in the Autumn statement that it would be allowed but where is this on the roadmap? I’ve just been told by someone using Trading 212 that they can (can anyone verify that’s true?) so would be frustrating if it’s just this platform preventing us

Since the election has been called, all legislative and policy changes announced by the Government are currently on hold, which will delay changes to allow it.

Until any changes are formally implemented, the official line from HMRC is that they are not eligible to be held in an ISA.

Expectations of firms offering fractional shares to retail investors

Just because Trading212 are currently allowing people to buy fractional shares, doesn’t mean they should be.
