Freetrade FX Supplier Prohibiting Orders

Thatā€™s a good point. It will be interesting to see the fall out from this in terms of regulatory changes, changes in partnerships between providers, class action lawsuits in the US and perhaps legal action between partners/providers for breaches of contract?

Itā€™s all absolutely wildā€¦ and caused by one subreddit.

Well, it sounds like FreeTrade needs to change their supplier or certainly have the ability to switch providers when required.

Itā€™s unacceptable what is going on here when big corpoā€™s lose some money well we canā€™t have that, can we? Letā€™s change the system to placate them rather than everyone elseā€¦

Perhaps they should have invested more wisely why should we pay the price for their greedā€¦

Very good point tbh

If you canā€™t change the FX provider than create your own. I think it should be on the FTā€™s 2021/2022 road map.

So, you want freetrade to become a multinational bank this year? This feels like people vastly overestimate Freetradeā€™s reach. Itā€™s a small startup, it has very limited resources and doesnā€™t have any leverage vis-a-vis all of the other large financial actors.

This was more on a joke side. I believe that most of the people here really love the work that Freetrade has done since the inception and sometimes you are indeed right we might overestimate the reach.
