Thanks, I just bought another £10,000. Do CC debit your card immediately, if so I need to top up.

Also Alex, Adam said something about no Crowdcube fee this time at the presentation, or did I hear it wrong? The normal CC 1.5% has been charged.

The fee is included but it capped at £250, I believe

I think there’s been some confusion there, Crowdcube are charging the usual fees here.

Thanks. So all that messing about this morning to fund my C/A was unnecessary

Sat out this round as I bought a good bit last round. It’s great to see the community getting behind Freetrade. Robinhood who? Just need you guys to launch in Ireland and I can actually start using the product!!

Perhaps I misheard and Adam was referring to some earlier round, he mentioned something about people buying from earlier investors. No worries,

@adatherton Can confirm David. I missed out on the Crowdcube round in R4 but the team were great with introducing me to an early investor.

No, I’ve been charged on all of it. Maybe CC will aggregate the three goes, and only charge me £250. Maybe not.

Yes it can, I have done all of mine on credit card so far.

Invested what I can afford but fingers are literally itching to top up with a little more. Crowdfunding is dangerous haha.

Maybe @HannahCrowdcube can shed some light on how the CC fee is taken

Missed my slot, but managed to invest now! Whooop!

Aha, problem solved.

Hi @adatherton, the fee is charged per transaction - in the future we advise making your investment in a single transaction to avoid multiple fees.

However, we understand that multiple investments occurred due to the nature of this pitch, so if you would like to collate your investments into one, please contact us by emailing support@crowdcube.com

Once the pitch has closed we can then update your investment.

I got in eventually by uninstalling the Crowdcube app from my iPhone. Then the links started going to the website where the correct page displayed.

Thanks for opening the 11-12 slot, after the earlier one didn’t go smoothly. :+1:

Hi @jazzersi, while we love your enthusiasm, I would just like to advise that you shouldn’t invest any more than you are willing or able to lose, as the nature of equity crowdfunding is high risk.

I was only joking but thank you anyway

Tbh, so is small-cap post-IPO investing. Key things here are:

  • strong barriers to entry (regulation), entrants normally have bloated costs.
  • not a ‘winner takes all’ market
  • stockbrokers ALWAYS float well (even the bad ones)
  • extremely clear branding and personality, millennial zeitgeist and all that
  • viral rather than PPC/PPM - have you seen the AdWords pricing on “stock broker | trading”!!
  • strong safety message (no options, AIM, leverage etc.)

Let’s hope the culture continues.
