Freetrade’s getting a fresh new look!

Exactly my first though. This font brings me back to childhood which is not a good think for a fintech company. Please guys change that font type.

I live in the Netherlands and (now) I am able to download the app from the Google store (by clicking on the new website link). Is that a bug or you guys are also opening up the borders?

I wonder if the apps going to change like this or similar to the web platform then I’m sure to have a problem with this new look I use the iPad app the most I really like it. Don’t change the layout. But nice to see someone doing something to improve the business instead focusing on selling, what’s next gilts and corporate bonds

where??

Click on your profile pic (top right on landing page)

Then click on the symbol that looks like a head and shoulders

Then Summary

settings symbol (far right)

Then where it says account…scroll to the right and select interface

There you can choose light or dark modes :+1:

I like the new look a colour I think that always looked nice was oranage on black not like oranage the fruit it was like a different kind of oranage. I made a website with it back in college days and everyone liked it.

I was never a fan of pink and purples to be honest I know many who would of liked it but yeah. I’m hoping they do away with the purple boxes as well and the purple text that let’s you know how many people have posted etc.

I wouldn’t go white as that would be to clashy, a slight off grey maybe like dark tone grey. Almost like my keyboard choice I also have dark mode on as well.

I love colour schemes that make things look more professional. I get it though colours are a personal choice and everyone has their own type.

Maybe one day freetrade can use themes for the ones who liked it and the new scheme for everyone else and maybe an alternative scheme.

In the end as long as they keep the name the label everyone should know who it is.

I personally care more about the core of the business than the colour of the logo or background.

Hopefully this rebranding exercise isn’t costing FT a lot of money.

Dark mode awful. Thanks for the posts explaining how to fix it. Wasn’t exactly easy to find.

Preach. #TeamDarkMode

I wouldn’t trade dark mode for a fresh pile of silage or for 5 minutes with the most handsome bull in the yard.

I’m surprised you can see it at all.
Color: Cows are dichromatic, meaning they can only see variations of two colors, blue and yellow, and are colorblind to red.

Contrast: Cows have poor depth perception and struggle to detect contrast differences.

Panoramic vision: Cows have a wide field of vision, allowing them to see a lot without moving their heads. This is especially true when grazing with their heads down.

Light adaptation: Cows have a layer behind their eyes that reflects light back into their retina, allowing them to see in low light conditions. However, this limits their ability to focus when moving from dark to light.

Eye placement: Cows have eyes on either side of their face, allowing them to see two different images simultaneously.

Pupils: Cows have horizontal pupils.

Eye muscles: Cows have weak eye muscles, making it difficult for them to focus quickly.

Shadows and bright light: Cows are startled by shadows and bright light
