Look on the bright side, if Freetrade hit that £4 billion then you get to walk away with £200,000+
Not bad

No complaints for GBP 4045 invested less tax benefits and no capital gains on the sale…
If 200 k then 49x invested cash.
Depending on price now I might invest more.
Are you sure about that?
I think post money after series B was 366M
so if no further dilution it would by (4000 / 366) * 3894 *£3.77 =£160000
Edit: think I might have Post money wrong, anyone know the correct figure?
£265M
I got 160 shares do I make the cut for the party?
OK, so it would be £200K+
(4000 / 265) * 3894 *£3.77 =£221590
So with just over 10,000 shares I need an ~8Bn valuation to surpass my £1M target assuming no dilution
@Dave You should aim higher. Where’s your sense of ambition? Do you always settle for such low returns?
Came on! You lads with 5000 shares can celebrate financial freedom and freetrade success. But we should be at the party together so you can offer us common working people with few hundreds shares some free drink.
I heard that the calculation to determine if you get an invite to said party is as follows: total number of shares held minus total number of lifetime FT Forum aliases = 5000 or more. I think you could be out of luck in this case
I’m pretty sure it was said that in September there would be another crowdfunding series.
Is this still the plan and do we have an actual date and a share price?
Yes crowdfunding this month unless they delaying it, and price unknown until the raise.
I suspect it will happen when they have their European licence and have surpassed 1M U.K. users. So may be more like November.
Yeah it will be timed with the European launch because it’s a good marketing tactic
I’m mainly looking forward to the investment deck to see deeper deets on business performance and the roadmap ahead. Not interested in the share price at all really……

Yeah right £10 for me
With so many competitors and other companies getting big markups on their previous rounds - often within a matter of months - I am wondering what the likelihood of of a joint VC and crowdfunding round. I think strategically it may be the best option for Freetrade. The VCs can price the round and the crowd can tag along.
With this you would reduce the scenarios where the crowd feel it is overpriced or any feeling of an underpriced crowdfunding round influencing the next institutional round.
If Freetrade goes down this road I would imagine a £1.5bn valuation based on the comparables.
That seems wild, obviously I’d be happy for my current shares but I can’t see myself buying any more at that valuation.
By my model that would imply maybe £40-50bn AUA at maturity, which is certainly possible but not something I’d be want to be paying for at this stage unless we get a much clearer idea of current AUA.
It must be getting close to a new round… What do you think the share price will be?
I assume 63.3m shares pre money.
Edit: I’ll close the poll tomorrow at 6 pm or about.
Edit 2: Poll closed, see updated poll below.

Lol you may need to redo this mate. Val brackets are a touch off. Not a chance the share price will be below £12…
I was thinking that people are optimistic but when it’s so skewed upwards… ! I’ll add another poll and close this one. a few mins.
Updated poll - to be open for 24 ish hours. I’m unwilling to go higher in the poll! Last price was 3.77!
I assume 63.3m shares pre money.
