"We have received the results on the AML checks, which you didn’t pass automatically. As a result we are now conducting a secondary check. These will be completed by the end of next week (w/c 5th May 2025).

If you pass secondary checks and you have already provided accurate bank details you will receive payment within 2 business days"

This could mean as late as 13th May if i pass their secondary checks… :face_exhaling:

So I finally got my pay out. Hopefully not too long for all those out there still waiting.

On the upside… I can report that Crowdcube will never see a penny from me again.

Ditto, also received my funds from Crowdcircus and also no follow up emails even after my complaints, diabolical bunch of chucky clowns.

Still not paid - received the sumsub link this morning in an email saying “you haven’t had an updated AML check in the last 12 months”… Crowdcube could have asked for this from us back in January. Now the sumsub service keeps rejecting my ID and address documents and no way to contact them but by some chat function that tells me it could take days to get a response.

This whole experience has been a complete farce. Like many others here, I will never go near Crowdcube again.

Anyone get anywhere with getting Crowdcube to pay interest for the time they held our funds?

I got an email back from them saying:

Under our Investor Terms (specifically clause 9.13), Crowdcube is permitted to hold funds in line with applicable regulatory requirements. These terms also confirm that interest is not payable unless there has been an undue delay in distribution. We will not be paying interest in this transaction.

That’s actually not how 9.13 reads. Look it up yourself. They’re lying to you.

Just ask them to escalate your complaint, they have 8 weeks to respond, if they still refuse after that, you can then take it to the financial ombudsman.

If they decide to investigate it will cost crowdcube £650, regardless of the outcome. The more people who file a complaint the better, as it will likely force crowdcube into a corner, either pay the interest or the investigation fee.

Well, it’s over for me. Finally been paid.

Life’s too short to be chasing Crowdcube for a few hundred quid. Don’t forget they have been royally screwed over too by the fat cats at the top of Freetrade who will be on an incredible salary for the next 10 years to make up for them screwing us and accepting a very small amount for the company.
They themselves could have made a fortune through a successful buyout.

Take your money, lesson learnt, switch off, smile.

Escalate to a complaint. Put as much info in as you can, such as, it would take them 1 minute to determine the amount of interest owed and 3 minutes to enter the bank details to pay. If you feel your interest owed (estimate bank of England rate) would be quite a bit more than the cost to crowdcube to employ someone to pay that then I would argue it is beneficial to you and you want them to firstly explain the complete farce of communication, automated processes etc that then 4 weeks later are found to have shown you’ve failed without any explanation why etc etc. Remember any formal complaint to cc would be what goes to the ombudsman

I got paid today as well, Can’t be arsed pursuing a complaint for 1 months interest either. I won’t use crowdcube again though

Unfortunately I still have a few open positions on crowdcube so I may have to go though this again…

That’d why I’m going through with the complaint. Crowdcube need to identify and improve their problems and communications. I’ve got a few other investments on the platform too but fortunately freetrade was my largest and last.
