@NeilB it was a pleasure to read all your posts
@NeilB it’s no easy task, and generally a thankless and time consuming job handling things around a forum. Been good having you around. Hope you make good use of the extra time
Thank you @NeilB.
As a recipient of your generosity I have seen how magnanimous you have been towards the community and myself. It is a disservice to file what you have been doing just under “moderation”. You have done the moderation bit. But you have done more. Much much more. A true evangelist of Freetrade, community builder, Gif Maestro, add-on support team and the real manager of the forum.
212?
big salute @NeilB , big salute
Yep, Covid is over … curious how many people of the FreeTrade community are serious traders/investors …
Depends what you see as a serious imvestor?
Thank you @NeilB . Sad to see you go. You have been a gentleman. All the best.
Thanks for your insightful contributions. Sorry to see you go.
Thanks, @NeilB . Great talking to you on the forum.
It’s a shame that Sam is able to unpin the post, but not able to pass on well wishes - whether this has been done in private or not, the public perception makes the company look ungrateful for all the work that Neil has put in.
There have been plenty of employees on the forum since this post was created, the radio silence is indicative for me.
It’s sad that less than 2 months ago Neil had a part of the AMA, too now all but walking away from any engagement.
If this is how FT treat arguably one of their most ardent supporters over the past year or 2, I loathe to think how the general treatment is.
It’s not a good look is it.
@NeilB all the best, learn from the harsh reality (in the nicest possible way), don’t do anything for a company unless you have a contract and are getting paid.
Business is business and if you do something for free or a company can get something for free they will.
I’m pleased for you…now you won’t be working for free!
@NeilB thanks for your work in this community, it has been noticed and appreciated by the users.
Hopefully at some point in the future FT will be able to open a community manager role that is for you.
I hope you’re wrong in that this community is dying. Even if I don’t post regularly, I check it every now and then and I’d love it to keep alive.
Top man @NeilB. I echo all the good stuff that has been said by everyone above. You will be missed greatly.
@NeilB is FT mad letting you go… Who will keep the calm in the chat rooms as good as you have. I can only thank you for all the help and support you have provided me over the yr i have been with FT and tbh without it I think i would have sold up and left. … SO… THANK YOU…
Gutted! You’re one of the reasons why I frequent this forum! Not in a stalker way…(honest!)…
But because the conversations flow, there is fun & friendly banter. People receive friendly (none financial) advice, help & more importantly …they get replied to…
Whilst Bitflip does a fabulous job also … You are both very different characters… you compliment each other in the overall moderation of the forum, which makes it a great place to be.
I’ll miss you @NeilB
So sorry to hear this but hope you’ll still be ‘around’.
I’ve always valued your input whether it was about investing, politics, the welcome, the fun or the banter and they’ll be greatly missed.
On a serious note, who will organise the Baggers competition now???
I’m so sorry it’s come to this @NeilB, you have been the backbone of this community and made it a fun place to be. I’m one of the regulars that has stopped posting as much, I’m still checking in but I’m definitely not engaging like I was. I think in the last few months there just hasn’t been as much engaging content and I’ve checked out a bit.
The fact is a community like this needs someone overseeing/leading it and the right thing for Freetrade to do is to pay you in some format, whether it’s free shares or some other set up, it doesn’t matter. They can’t expect you to put in all this time and effort and not compensate you, when they are a profit making company, not a charity.
I really hope Freetrade realise what they are losing here and do something about it. Thanks again for all your help and hard work and wishing you all the best.
