How many users now?

Thanks Elliott, I used your data point today in a slide.

@zaccharles, did I get that right?

@adam what was the slide for? :grinning:

I’m not sure I’m understanding how you’re measuring that the initial user growth (market penetration) has been stronger.

Putting the same numbers another way, two years from each’s iOS launch:
FT: 383 per 100k population (0.38%)
RH: 442 per 100k population (0.44%)

Feel free to message me and I can hook you up with some resized graphs so you don’t have to squish them. Could also pretty it up or add some similar overlayed data points like on the RH one.

Also, something looks funky with the users per day in your screenshots . Maybe @Rollingskies broke it just as you made them :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, should be more like this (sadly)

How do the internal stats compare? also, curious to see what the active users numbers look like

Growth, being user growth (title of slide) % increase over time. Compounded monthly growth is higher for FT if you use the ending value, start vale, and time period. The height of the chart gives a visual indication, but a bit skewed as RH had a higher launch cohort.

Market penetration (relative to population) is what you are referring to, and I’d say if we have a similar ratio to population it means we are beating expectations based on market size given there is not the same market penetration in the UK vs US for share dealing accounts (yet).

I think I captured that correctly, the point taken is not on the old trend line, rather, it’s in line with yours (it’s squished so hard to see). Gotta get back to that earlier trajectory though! It ebbs and flows as we can see in both charts.

The slides need some polish (design + conveying the message). My takeaway from the slides is that RH has been growing faster accounting for the population size.

Internal stats are the same when measured the same way, but it is way more fun to show crowdsourced stats!

MAUs vs Total users (chart) is c. 50%. Not everyone checks their investments every month.

I think Doug is right, to me it looks like you’ve put that last point in september

Can we see the % difference on the slide please?

Nope. October is the tenth month of the year. Might be a few pixels off in October, certainly doesn’t change any conclusions.

I meant in the other screenshot, the last point where it ticks up seems to be in the wrong place

Wonder what the slide is for @adam :eyes:

If your takeaway is that FT has captured a slightly lower % of the population in their home market vs RH, over the same time period, that is what I’m trying to convey. That is huge UK vs US. No one thought we could do that (except crowdfunding investors ). We did it on a much lower budget, too.

Perfectly primed for tapping into the 448M EU market then!

Exactly!

I was refreshing some old slides from our original crowdfunding deck. wonder if anyone remembers these? I would have done them ahead of our 2017 £1m crowdfund.

Can’t say I remember the slides as I just missed the boat but I remember the logo! Much prefer the :freetrade: logo though
