True this I bet you’re happy I only have 1 share so far, 13 would be a nice little pay

Yeah I have a few on my list admiral as well not bought it yet ran out of funds I’ll get it on the next buy

Sounds good - GSK, Legal and General, Aviva, National Grid, most utility companies are good too (I am assuming you are talking about good dividend paying stocks).

In the US market, Gladstone Capital is good. They pay dividends every month

Yes I fancied getting a few but not really getting to hung up on them but having some income on the side is handy.

Thanks for the stock sharing

All I know is we should be investing in water

When it says final dividend does that mean rio will no longer pay any after this?

“Final” means it is the final dividend of the year. In the UK some companies pay dividends two times a year and call the “Interim” and “Final”.

To make things more confusing some companies label the last one in the tax year Final, and some use the calendar year

So does EFC and PennantPark Floating Rate pay monthly divs. I have had a position for a long time.

I also have had LGEN ADM NG SVT BHP for a while. I had RIO, but very much regret selling RIO :frowning: CEY for gold ( My EVR is trashed for now ).

Am I too late to buy shares to access the div payout in April?!? Thinking about buying a couple shares

Ex div date is the 10th march so there is still time. Pay date will be 21st April.

And the dividend per share is gonna be how much? The stuff I’ve been seeing online has felt pretty inaccurate

Hi @Swariid

This is from dividend data

The share price will likely drop after the dividend (ex div date) so you don’t tend to gain anything by buying in to get a dividend.

That said, buying now you may see a rise as people buy to get the dividend. And then a small recovery as people ‘buy the dip’. Doesn’t make any sense but you never know!?

Currently only hold 2 shares- have had for about a week or so. Should I sell now since I’ll get the div payout + the price has gone up. Or is it worth holding?

The ex-dividend date is the 10th march, if you sell now, you won’t get the dividend.
