Only you can answer that. What made you buy them in the first place?
So if anyone bought on the 10th of march they would still make it? I was wondering why it had a massive drop today is that because everyone’s selling due to the ex div or?
Anyone buys today will not be eligible for the dividend. The ex-dividend date is the date that the shares trade without the dividend (Hence “ex-” prefix at the beginning). What has happened is that the share price has been decreased by the value of the dividend.
Ahh so I bought today at near the bottom which hopefully should be OK for when it gets back up to speed again?
Also when I said selling I meant what you said the drop for the div, but thanks for letting me know, clears it up.
Not sure I would say near the bottom Rio’s done well since the pandemic
But still a good company and by some analysts currently undervalued.
Sorry I meant bought at the bottom of the dividend pay out
Looks like a good buying opportunity here
On the cheap because it’s ex-dividend
When is Freetrade paying the dividends of this shares?
Payment date is 21st April. Might appear in freetrade a day or two after this
Do anyone why the information on Google finance are different from freetrade
According to the LSE website there was an off book or uncrossing trade (UT) - London Stock Exchange | London Stock Exchange
One at 18:09 has thrown the prices off, as the other trades around that time were a similar value i.e. around £62.20
Hi there sorry can you please share the web site from where you get this information regarding dividends dates
Thanks
Thanks very much for your help Neil

If they are worried about climate stuff… why have they invested in RIO
Presumably many of them have no choice as it’s a big part of major indices.
Dividend day today, also received today as well.
I received £6.84 and £46.00 today. Lovely stuff
