So you’ve made a marginal gain in the last month?

Nothing to worry about mate  Do not panic, hold those bad boys and keep topping up on a consistent and reasonable (what you can afford) basis.

I was hoping for a fall … to buy the only share that I want to. My luck? It’s risen.

Reading this headline I thought “Oh dear” and was regretting opening the app but not sure I would call it a crash as I have a VERY diverse portfolio and it is a small dip but still up lots in the month and tonnes in a longer period of time. Pretty sure any crashes would be very tilted portfolios only.

Yeah pretty much hehe I was still 18% up since starting 4 months ago so just need to ride it out like everyone else, most are in green anyways its just a bit of push back like you said.

As far as I can see there has been a stock market fall of around 3% right across European markets. S&P 500 is down around c. 1.5%. This is not a stock market crash. For people new to investing don’t be scared. Have a look and see what has fallen and you might see a pattern. Look at it all as a part of your education. You may get a better handle on diversification.

Sure some individual stocks have taken a battering … IAG is down 14%. But remember the magic word is diversify.

Emotionless investing, remember…

Anyway a nice dip is good for you, it gets the blood moving.

Blood or the bowels deepening how much you are down on the day

Save me Bens Creek. You’re my only hope.

Idk mate I think you may be lucky enough to average down a bit more next week :joy::joy:

Looking at the western environment’s monetary policy, even with a 20% correction you’d still expect the market to recover within 2 years, in this environment. The save everything environment.

The worry is how poorer we become over the next 5-10 years with our purchasing power.

My guess, income producing assets will boom like owning an AirBnB even just to keep money flowing into you personally. Even if it’s simply to keep steady and not raise prices, just to help you through a possible stagnant period of years.

The only thing positive from today for THG would be more online shopping?

Fortunately I have had a good day with some eBay sales so I will probably have to sniff out some bargains next week.

Aye. It will be.
You will buy cheaper niw and average over long term. The only real danger here is a bear market that will last 2 years or higher inflation for years or both.
But on the longer term the market will go up.
Or maybe nothing will happen.
NO one can predict the market!
