It’s almost Thursday. Throwback Thursday - from 2012:

Virgin Money is emerging as the front-runner to buy more than 300 branches from Royal Bank of Scotland after the collapse of a deal to sell the high street business to Santander.
…
Last year, Virgin Money bought Northern Rock Plc, the ā€œgood bankā€ part of the collapsed lender, greatly expanding the scope of its operations and giving it 75 branches.

That’s when Apple already released iPhone 4-5.

Monzo and Revolut were established three years after that article was published.

So the current price be below the offer from Natiowide, what happens if you buy shares today at the lower price? Will you get the actual sale price?

The delta between the current trading price and the offer price reflects the general market sentiment about the deal completion. The size of the delta relates to the general feeling of it’s happening, in this case, it’ll need to pass regulatory hurdles.

There is a reasonable strategy to buy and hold, claiming the full offer from nationwide when the deal coleyes but it’s not without risk.
