As have the rest of Europe. Good chance your socialism will step in now and destroy the country.
It wouldnât mind but it appears the better off have had the highest tax rises.
There is no speculation on how much Wells Fargo sucks, it has been in a long string of very immoral practices even against their own clients, to the point that Buffettâs Berkshire Hathaway eventually sold itâs massive stake (10%) in 2021-2022. And Goldman Sachs sucks too (pun intended), again no need to speculate, just search it up and youâll find a list of very well known immoral practices; and again BRK got rid of its stake recently (2021-2022 if I remember correctly).
Really there is no way a long term investor could have been unaware of those practices, scandals and court cases, going on for decades and regularly making the front page of newspapers.
You may decide that funding deeply immoral practices with your own money is OK, (your money, your choice) but please donât lecture the world with the fable that Soros is Evil and Buffett is the incarnation of all virtues.
Speculation about Buffettâs behavior, not the bank. Please reread our conversation.

I havenât claimed Buffett is a saint. What I mentioned is that he doesnât compromise his morals to profit from othersâ misfortune, at least as far as I know. Additionally, watch the end of the video to sense Soros feelings towards his people who died in the war while his father confiscated their lands. He doesnât feel remorse or even sorry. Even if Buffett were immoral, it wouldnât be on the same level.
Anyway, the sky is grey and I need to go to work to make money to buy more stocks for my collection
Letâs agree to disagree on Buffettâs moral high ground.
Absolutely fine.
Most of the stocks I own and watch are coming down, some start looking like falling knives.
There could be some unexpected and interesting buying opportunities, not sure yet
Can you smell the panic in the air?
No I see nothing that supports that sensory perception.
Panic generally implies something like the COVID stock market panic. Is that what you âsmellâ?
It was a figure of speech called hyperbole.
Although some stocks have being trending down for a while, there was no panic in the streets nor riots. But certainty RIOT and the other BTC mining stocks were hit hard by the correction.
Panic not quite as yet, but yeah i do get a slight whiff of downside.
Arhh I have no mining so never noticed that.
EDIT I thought you meant real miners.
Definitely no bitcoin miners!

I came across Ronaldâs story in the book âPsychology of Money,â and I believe it serves as motivation for any investor. He may not be as famous as Buffett, for instance, but I think he should be, given what he has achieved.
Fantastic story, thanks for sharing his legacy here.
Much respect to Ronald Read
