Agreed

Is freetrade going to get the ishares etf’s that are traded in currencies other than GBP?

How are USD ETFs different to the ones that don’t have KIIDs?

An ETF can be denominated in USD but be created in the UK and traded on the LSE. Only US ETFs which are domiciled in the US are problematic.

Will this include the IShares semiconductor ETF SOXX or is that domiciled in the US?

That is domiciled in the US so won’t be available on Freetrade.

@Viktor given that Plus is now live are there any plans for Freetrade to allow investors to gain accreditation and purchase US ETFs without KIIDs?

@ravi Not going to happen due to UK law.

 didn’t know about that. AJ Bell offering ARK ETH TR Innovation ETF though

Can we buy US ETF’s from January when European law no longer applies to investors? Will Freetrade offer this functionality??

No. I hope you’re aware that all EU laws still apply since they were adopted into British law. They can be changed after, but it’s not some magical thing that invalidates ten thousands of EU laws when the clock strikes midnight.

It’s possible we’ll refine some of these laws though to allow some more flexibility, but time will tell.

I second GDXJ. A really good etf!:+1:

Any news on GDXJ guys? @Freetrade_Team

We’re on the junior gold miners ETF, no worries. While it’s a relatively lower liquidity ETFs, expect an update in a few weeks.
