It would be good if Freetrade would support http://www.sharegift.org and/or similar organisations.
This means if a customer no longer wants a share holding, they can donate it to charity for free.
There is now also an additional user case if someone has less than £2 in a company due to Freetrade’s recent introduction of a minimum value per trade - so would otherwise have a stranded asset.
Separately, FT might want to approach Sharegift and see if it can help them dispose of holdings more efficiently then who they currently use… which means more money for good causes.
