Freetrade 2021 Crowdfunding Round

What will the share price be at this years raise?

I don’t think anyone knows. There have been plenty of guesses but I think that’s all they are.

Is there going to be a similar competition to the 1m users with people’s guesses on price?

I’m going December or November

I have a nice little spreadsheet of all my investments: stocks, funds, crypto, crowdfunding. I’m excited to update the Freetrade share price, currently at 420% I think from the last crowdfunding and looking like it’s gonna be 1,000%+ now

I would say anything less than 1.5b - would be a steal for anyone.

Freetrade has proven there is appetite and growth potential. There continues to be more users to capture and engage.

This will be the first raise post pensions. So our client asset metric will have shot up too. And again it is still significantly smaller than what it should be - as it’s still not fully rolled out.

Overseas offices and growth potential globally has the potential to be exponential.

Current valuation at a billion is purely based upon user metrics - so crude and less relevant now.

2022 raise should be 5b and ipo in 2023 priced at 10b, but will trade at 15-20b by close of the first trading day. This sentence is more for fun :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

But if all other investments on the sheet use % the calculations are far tidy if kept uniform. Also is a personal spreadsheet so why does it matter which they use.

I do tend to agree. Looking at the values at last raise of other companies on the continent recently, I (possibly biasedly) could argue that freetrade have even better long term prospects.

Not being reliant on pfof and having started out from day one with their own back end surely has to add another metric when compared to the likes of t212?

Yes they are more established in multiple countries and have access to other profitable streams such as crypto. But I can see the benefit holding out for a crowd raise until freetrade can coincide with a launch in Europe too and at the same time give an entry to a vc for maximimum impact across the launch in Europe.

Am I right in thinking there are a touch over 63 million shares? If so, I think ~£15 hits unicorn status without dilution. Anyone mentioned anything about new shares being issued?

Still awaiting first coffee so that may be all wrong :man_shrugging:

Definitely don’t wanna be a weak investor :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Screen Shot 2021-10-16 at 10.44.18

Trade Republic just launched in Spain and opened waiting lists on Italy and Netherlands. European expansion expected to be completed by 2022. Keep on delaying the European expansion “in the coming months” and we will forget about the unicorn status

They already mentioned it’s top priority, they working as hard as they possibly can, they not just sitting doing nothing they need the license first before rolling out into europe

70.3m fully diluted shares - likely more now though.

When will you take out the bin? Soon…

Am also sure they looking at the bigger picture too regarding the European rollout, like the equivalent of an ISA, tax free saving to stand out from the crowd even if this requires more time after launch, seems they are waiting for the license as it’s not something they can rush as it’s completely out of their hands Brexit obviously didn’t help as financially so much was uncertain.

Regarding the licence,I wonder what European country they used to apply for permission. If you are granted a EU license does that mean you can open in every EU country? I would have applied In the EU country that grants the licence the quickest even if you had to open a wee office in that country. BUT who am I? Just a daftie!!

Just curious, is your 70.3m an estimate or have you seen an updated number somewhere? I had a very rough estimate of my own, nothing scientific, and got about 70.5m, so we are in the same ballpark. As of September 2020 it was 69.3m, but there have been a lot of new hires since who would have hopefully received good option packages as incentives.

Every day that passes I feel that valuation growing and would be quite happy if the 2021 funding round is delayed further. Raise when it is needed.

I’d like to believe you also want to say: “but before you’re in need”.

Raise from a position of financial strength…
