Thatâs true but say itâs my rainy day fund I could use that since itâs such a short time I can get my cash back in a month with some interest vs waiting 1 to 2 years for it in a bank. Of course you shouldnât iock away any cash you might need but this gives you the option to kinda grab savings from accounts you wouldnât normally use bevause as stated its a month.
Tend to agree - if theyâre not available within tax free wrappers and the profit is taxed as income Iâm struggling to see an advantage over a 5% instant access saving account. Another new feature that nobody seemed to be asking for.
This bit confuses me.
Deeply discounted is if itâs 0.5% or more below itâs redemption value? But if these are shoeing an annualised interest of 5.2% but are on a 28 day redemption, then that suggests a discount on redemption of 0.4%?
There must be more in the regs but that tome says they arenât captured.
I probably wonât read the regs though
Are there any plans to place within an ISA and SIPP? Would they even be eligible?
I believe it is not allowed, the interest is taxable.
There is a slight advantage since tax rate on shares and these is slightly less than interest from bank savings.

Burberry & Pfizer were Alexâs tips.
Definitely not advice
What did you say about Burberry?
Im not overly convinced of Burberry, seems to be a reliant on the Chinese market wanting luxury Western brand and take over has been talked about for a few years now but nothing materialised.
I once had a Burberry scarf when they were popular.I found them to be too long and the brand became a bit Chavy.
Couldnât agree more, once a luxury brand has been labled âchavâ itâs finished
It was chavy when I was growing up and Iâm 36 now lol, also actual neds/chavs wore the cheap knock off stuff that was just a copy cat of burberry.
Itâs deemed chavy here to some but not globally, which is the market they mostly aim for and where they make most of their money from.
Yeah itâs just the baseball caps mostly but they make way more stuff than just that.
