Email from FT asking me to update payment method as it has expired.

I have updated. I wasnt due to make a payment until 2026!

I have had 5 or 6 duplicate emails in the last 10 minutes.

@acamp can you confirm please:

  1. Are these legit emails? Sent from [hello@freetrade.io]

  2. If i update my primary payment method is that sufficient. It is still showing my old primary now as a secondary, and obviously it has expired.

  3. I changed cards in the portal but the app hasnt updated. Is the portal working ok?

(had 3 more emails while i typed this! - now 8 total.)

Yes these are legit and unfortunately there’s been a bug meaning some are getting spammed.

The team is on it and will get it fixed ASAP.

Software can be temperamental for anyone but the first class customer service is appreciated :clap:

Not really good enough. I have been getting these for a while. Today I got 15.
it’s not due till May 2026
And I changed the credit card when I made my last payment. So I shouldn’t have got the message anyway. Nevermind receiving it in the past and 15 times today

Get a grip.

I don’t normally give FT any leeway, after the farrago over the sale to IG, but even I know that this is not something they are doing deliberately.

Not sure what you expect them to do that they’re not doing already. Just delete the emails and move on.

I shouldn’t have got them in the first place as I had already changed the card. And I have been getting them before today. AND still getting them. Are you getting a sycophant payment!!!

You know that is in itself a “confected outrage” as it in no way affected you. Sad how people can be so outraged by something that has nothing to do with them. Unless there is something in it for them.
