Was anyone able to actually sell at £9 or were there lock in restrictions for certains raises?
Some of us had buyers through seedrs for our shares at the same time as the 9.25 raise. Adam wouldnāt sign the paperwork.
I am being told that I donāt actually own my 2017 shares - as the capdesk details are different from the carta details so thatās my 10% return converted into a 50% loss - has anyone else had issues verifying their ownership of shares in different rounds?
Can you download your āOwnership Certificateā from Crowdcube for the 2017 round as evidence to confirm your number of shares from that round?
The figure that Crowdcube gave me does match the number of shares that I expected, but I was only in from 2018 onwards - so maybe they have an issue with the earlier rounds?
I canāt believe some people got paid days ago and Iām still waiting
some ppl already got paid? Should I contact them or just wait?
@littlefinger the latest crowdcube email i got said the first payments went out this Tuesday. And theyāre paying throughout this week and next week. Iām just being impatient
Rightfully so. I wanted to use that cash to buy the dip but hey look what happened yesterday markets rebounded.
Yeah - did all of that and they are refusing to admit there has been an error on their end somewhere. I guess itās small claims court here I come!
If you check on companies house (FREETRADE LIMITED filing history - Find and update company information - GOV.UK) and check the latest Confirmation statement (06 Nov 2024), does the number of shares listed against your name appear correct (not including any shares held via the Crowdcube nominee)?
You can check this information on CapDesk, CrowdCube Portfolio, or the latest Confirmation statements / Annual returns.
In addition to that I would go back and check my bank statements for transactions.
Make copies of it all. Make sure it all adds up.
If there are any discrepancies then make a formal complaint.
This is an utter piss take by Crowdcube. I hope everyone is giving them plenty of āincomingā. FOS complaint almost certain, with a claim for interest also, assuming the principal is actually, if eventually, paidā¦.
Give over you dont plan to pay your daily expenses out of payments from crowdfunded illiquid investments, that just insanity.
yeah I think everyone is overblowing this a bit. It is funds that no one could have ever factored into any long term planning and we are talking about a week delay (I got paid today)
It would be difficult to establish and quantify recoverable losses as such, so the claim would be interest. That said, CCās processes should be such that they meet their regulatory obligations (AML) and can promptly remit the proceeds. The comms have been pretty opaque too and despite repeated requests no clarity on when I can expect to have my 5 figure sum. Given the way CC rolls I have no doubt that they are intentionally dragging out the process so that they can make money off our money, as alluded to above. If Iād got paid Iād be happier but I have not and at a time when I could make very good use of my money, or notā¦but that is my prerogative. A weekās delay and counting for just how many I wonder. This is exploitative and clearly breaches their consumer duty obligations. And they know it.
The delay for people getting paid is annoying but nowhere have I seen anything where payment was promised on any particularly date.
The money was due on the day they received it. They had months to prepare for this. The other payer paid people on the same day. They have been paid to process and pay us efficiently. Even their own communications say they will pay as soon as possible. Meanwhile, they are earning interest on the money not paid. Great for the people who are due Ā£40 and donāt care, but for those due 10s or 100s of thousands 10 days ago, itās not insignificant.
True, the AML aspect is a nonsense excuse as they have known for quite literally months that the sale was likely to happen.
Ironically or rather not, when this happened on April Fools day, investors of all levels should have been paid as soon as the funds were received.
But letās be honest for a moment, did we really think Crowdcube were going to handle this well?! LOL
@lizmcp I dont think theyve missed their own deadline yet, be a bit realistic lol
