FT share price - IG agrees to acquire Freetrade 2025

I challenged Crowdcube about paying interest and was told that as per clause 9.13 of their Ts & Cs:

ā€œany interest accrued during this short period is not distributed to investors, as the cost of calculating and distributing these small amounts on an individual basis would be disproportionateā€.

The actual wording of 9.13 is ā€œCrowdcube may place client money in an interest bearing account and will retain interest unless it determines that the cost to Crowdcube of accounting to a client on behalf of whom it is holding money is not disproportionate to the benefit to the client.ā€
This is useful in that (i) they refer to investors as clients, which confirms this is a business transaction, and (ii) they confirm they could distribute it if it’s deemed proportionate. Hence, the response to you is both in conflict with their own terms, and a lie. All good in making a case regarding their unreasonable treatment.

I wonder if they are focused on paying out the smaller sums of money first as the interest racks up on the larger investments.

No doubt CC employees are knocking off early and heading down to the pub right about now and will be keeping my money for the weekend.

Does anyone know anyone that has been paid out by CrowdCube yet?

Do you have 6484 B Investment shares?

Ā£7813.22 is what you should receive

I think you have hit the nail on the head. Makes perfect sense
The longer they withhold the payments, the more interest they accrue. It wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t get paid till after Easter, remember we are talking about CC & or Freetrade making tens of thousands extra in interest payments

Did anyone receive they money, if so 3figs, 4figs or 5figs?

People have received varying amounts. I know someone with £25 and someone with over £100k.

They’ve said payments will be made by the end of next week. We just have to wait until then.

At what point does the interest they accrue for the money on account become a meaningful amount to warrant paying it out to shareholders?

Nope because I’m still waiting on my tiny amount

It doesn’t though because many small time investors haven’t been paid like me a d all my bank details and everything is updated on the day they sent me the letters.

Maybe if a certain percentage is reached of you payout but that’s a guess I have done zero information gathering.

Fundy enough this is said in tee intelligent investor and other books that even a them those were the stats roughly.

So far CC will have earnt about Ā£20 in interest on my payout, and they’ve cost me Ā£4,000 in lost capital gains, since I wasn’t able to invest the money as planned this week.

It’s a shame as it would have gone a long way to making up for FTs dismal returns. Absolutely disgusting company, I’ll never deal with them again.

Yeah - that’s the problem - it seems another person with my same name owns a larger number of shares and they have been assigned to their ownership….

I wish! I have those 524 from the later round - and 960 from the earlier round - and it seems those 960 have been attributed to my namesakes account who owns a lot more than me!

Is anyone constantly getting adds to invest in mouse on YouTube through crowd funding ?
