I made my initial deposit/top up to my account nearly 1 week ago and it still hasn’t processed and is showing as ‘Awaiting verification’ from my bank. But my bank is showing the funds as having been transferred to Freetrade. What is causing the delay? Is there something that I can do to expedite things?

This isn’t something that happens to often, certainly once you’ve tipped up before.
Did you make sure the payment reference was correct for your FT account?
I’d reach out to support as @PeteL said because the eye can see if it is there end that is the problem.
