What is going on today? - Megathread

I’ve been investing since Dec 2018 and to look at the country today in almost 2025, the disparity between moderately wealthy to working people is disgusting.

Even if I hit the £1mil-£2mil mark I am not ever going to stop highlighting the fact that more needs to be done for young working people and even gen z who have been completely silenced lmao

$100k Bitcoin
$58 OnOn

I travel a ā€˜lot for work so see a large proportion of areas both uk and abroad and the decline is unreal. The move to online has and is destroying people at an alarming rate and they have no idea what to do. Hence probably why there is also 9 million people out of work and claiming benefits of some kind.

I started investing to purchase a house outright within 3 years and ALMOST placed £35k into nvidia in December 2022 during that bleak period of media pushing the negative news and one of the best entry points into the market ever. So I actually almost went from £2k to £750,000 within 4 years. So I push intentionality and none procrastination as that can give people an edge against the disgusting disparity of wealth.

So far my two calls from 2 weeks ago are about to come true.

Hmmm, earlier this year on another thread you said Bitcoin would grind down to £10k:
" 101

12 Jan

If Bitcoin is ā€˜going to be the future’ then our US Total Stock Market Fund’s will capture the breakthrough growth in new technology over the coming decades…

All you’ll see this year is a peak then a slow but sure decline until people get bored of losing money for no return - Bitcoin will retreat to ~Ā£10k - the middle class will feel a bit foolish for even putting 1% in having been fleeced by the hawk traders out there and the hope will be back on 2027/28 for the ā€˜Bitcoin to $100k articles’.

In the meantime gold & gold mining will continue to rise over the coming years.

There’s no wall of money waiting on the side to go into Bitcoin. If there were you would have seen intense buying back in summer 2023.

(I do hope you all make money though)."

Quite the whiplash - I hope you have a good Chiropractor!

Happy? 14% in two weeks. My prediction & estimate was spot on yet again this time with Bitcoin and OnOn.

Why wait 1 year for 5% from a bank when you can find a momentum opportunity and make 15-25% in 1 month.

:joy: are you for real? Read the post above again about your BTC predictions.

Are you selling the swing trade now?

Yes. I called out OnOn back in 2021 and bought in December 2022. Purely because I understand the product and was convinced it was going global (because the product had me and I’m tough to get). The moment I tried on the cloud 5 shoe I knew immediately this shoe not only felt incredible it also looked great and was 95% breathable AND the health benefit of walking comfortably is actually more important than most people admit. It’s instinctive in humans to know something great should it appear. And these shoes done just that which no other company has manage to properly do.

This was my only wild card growth stock and that’s because I got lucky and tried the shoe when on work in Germany. I immediately realised this was a company which knows what it’s doing. But I’m not going to hold the stock long I originally got it at $16 and have purchased more ever since. And now I think the trade for the next however many years is a risk at this valuation so will be selling.

It’s not always the case that a great product can give a great share price but I’ve ridden this wave due to knowledge of the product, I have enough life experience to know when something which ticks all boxes comes along and it’s very very rare, especially a product at an affordable price.

I stated Bitcoin will hit $100k before January 2025 and it pretty much hit that a few days ago.

I understand the majority of money into Bitcoin is people who already have money everywhere else and this is their ā€˜would have gone into the art world’ money, and I still do not know its future value or use case because I just don’t get it, it’s not anything I have experience in hence why I only have the free Bitcoin from the 2019/2020 coinbase giveaways. In a weird way my only comparison of Bitcoin is the MySpace vibe, will that sketch thing last or will a more mainstream Facebook appear and take over, or will it just fizzle out for 1-2 decades.

Show me one 25 year old female bitcoin owner with her crypto staked gaining interest and I’ll show you 5.5 billion other people who have zero Bitcoin.

Did you or did you not say this above, as was brought up by another poster above (which you’ve conveniently glossed over?) Spoiler alert: you did

"All you’ll see this year is a peak then a slow but sure decline until people get bored of losing money for no return - Bitcoin will retreat to ~Ā£10k - the middle class will feel a bit foolish for even putting 1% in having been fleeced by the hawk traders out there and the hope will be back on 2027/28 for the ā€˜Bitcoin to $100k articles’.

Every post you make you sound more and more silly. At the beginning of the year you’re predicting Ā£10k BTC yet when the ball is about to cross the goal line, you’re now ā€˜predicting’ Ā£100k BTC? And this from someone who says the following.

ā€œI just don’t get it, it’s not anything I have experience inā€

How can you make predictions at all, about something you don’t understand?

Well I’ve gone from Ā£2K to now over Ā£300,000 without touching Tesla, Bitcoin, Palantir or Micro strategy so I’d say I have some experience in growth albeit my own way. Avoiding the summer 2021 crash which lasted all the way into November 2022 helped incredibly.

Bitcoin will continue to fleece the public as they get fomo they will buy in and it will pour down to the low £20k mark once again. Most people have no idea how to even buy bitcoin and secondly, how to actually make money buying or selling it. They will get fleeced absolutely fleeced by transaction fees and sporadic fluctuations in price when selling or they will get scammed to pieces trying to move it about or store it elsewhere.

What I said did happen, Bitcoin crashed down to Ā£13k which is basically Ā£10k. It’s now on the typical cycle back up again. But this is not sovereign wealth funds or most people buying, this is excess money with nowhere else to go.

We are in comparison about as close to the tip of speculative bubble territory since 1999. The top investors are not wrong when they agree history rhymes.

If what I post isn’t true then surely I wouldn’t be avoiding big mistakes and instead keeping a strong upward trajectory.

I’ll once again just go silent and return when I hit the Ā£750,000 mark and Ā£1 million mark because I already know my next move and will be building on that. Hint: it involves selling covered calls on my portfolio and yes I did buy more gold on the dip which recovered immediately.

…and yes I am currently selling off all the free Bitcoin I got from 2019/2020 at a rate of Ā£500 each week. Not because I do not think it will go onto higher highs for decades to come, but because I want a hefty investment portfolio and paid property purchased in cash first.

I get it that by 2030 Bitcoin could reach Ā£500,000. But for me to have no mortgage and a backup investment portfolio able to fund my lifestyle whilst being young is the aim. Didn’t think it was doable in 2018 then by 2019 I saw the ability that maybe it was doable and intentionally made a direction and created opportunity.

Blah blah blah blah!!

It’s happening. Albeit slowly. What’s the saying, it happened slowly and then all of a sudden.

So many investors have done so well it’s natural to begin going into wealth protection mode. Something I believe will be the story of the next 3-5 years.

Many in the group below billionaire consisting of hundreds of millions in wealth again going to go into hibernation mode & wealth protection.

I see 2030-2035 a telling era. Maybe some of this wealth will be used to fix the lack of desirable affordable property and create many new jobs with the emerging sectors happening now? For our children’s sake I hope so.

You ā€œI see 2030-2035 as telling eraā€ ?..lend me your crystal ball. Mine is the same as everyone else’s…it only sees backwards!
