App showing incorrect figures

Hi,

I have been in touch with the customer service team but seem to have received the same macro’d answer each time I ask about it so I was hoping coming here may be able to shed some light on my issue.

On my portfolio it states that I have lost £X since I began investing, however I have actually made money so I believe this figure is displaying an incorrect figure, or I just haven’t fully understood how the figure is calculated.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi Nick, here’s some more info on how the gain/loss figure is calculated:

It includes:

  • Increases and decreases in stock prices you hold, gathered from all of your investments
  • Gains in respect of income received from dividends

(for both the above, this includes free shares)

It doesn’t include:

  • Cash held in your account originating from deposits
  • The value of any free shares when you received them

Also remember that if you hold any US stocks, currency fluctuations can affect your portfolio value which is held in £.
