No missing few dividend payments

Mines not come through either yet

Not yet. Hopefully soon.

This seems really slow. It has been six days. Freetrade should do better.

My US holdings are with Schwab, and I was paid on the 11th.

Can anyone see fully autonomous cars in the next ten years, like where I can sleep in the car while it takes me to work?

Who knows! Computer programmes can say there working at 100% efficiency, however, all programmes are written within a framework of imperfection i.e - the human that writes them.

It’s an interesting article but just a link/cop-paste to another who basically have no quotes or facts. 2025 surely is not even a realistic timeline as fully automated would need such a long time in testing to get licensed it would need to be on the roads now and even then it would no doubt fail in that time window. I would suggest it will be built by 2025 and then testing will take a few years after.

And then factories would need building which would take a fair while. I read about 6 months ago they would go into partnership with a established car maker and make something jointly. This seemed a viable way to get something out in the quickest time but would still need that lengthy testing period like all the other companies getting lost down random dead end roads in San Fran etc.

Would be awesome though and could be the next big leap in the Apple SP.

Apple and Cars. Been rumoured for years. I am sure I read something some years ago about them buying McLaren :-). Apple supposedly has ā€˜Project Titan’ for EV’s which if I vaguely remember had the Volkswagen name associated with it at some point.

In fact there is a whole Wikipedia article about the rumours

Agreed, 2025 seems very optimistic given the scale of their public testing. If you look at the amount of time it’s taken Waymo and Cruise to get to 1/30,000 mile disengagement in California testing, and Cruise still doesn’t have a proper driverless launch yet.

Apple want to surpass Waymo/Cruise and they might need ~1 million supervised miles to get that kind of confidence before even starting rolling out to users. That’s a big undertaking.

The California 2020 reporting is the closest thing we have to real data / AV leader board so Apple has a lot of work to do.

Company 2020 Miles Driven 2020 Disengagements 2020 Miles/Disengagement 2019 Miles/Disengagement
Waymo 628,839 21 29,944.69 13219.43
Cruise 770,049 27 28,520.34 12221.17
AutoX 40,734 2 20,367.00 10684.67
Pony.ai 225,496 21 10,737.90 6475.75
Zoox 102,521 63 1,627.32 1595.6
Apple 18,805 130 144.66 117.88

Edit: before the obvious ā€œWhere’s Tesla?ā€, they weren’t testing an autonomous driving solution in 2020 and there’s no need to file reports on driver aids like FSD. There’s been photos of some Teslas equipped with LiDAR in 2021 so they might be starting to log autonomous testing miles in 2021, so maybe we’ll see them in the 2021 numbers.
