ISA upgrade

Can anyone help, I upgraded about 3 months to the ISA upgrade on Freetrade does this now mean the 10 pound monthly I pay that my trades and deals are all in an ISA? Do I need to do something to put them in an ISA how does it all work?

Hi,
FT have 3 account types:

  • General Investment Account (GIA) - opened when you register on Freetrade
  • Stocks and Shares ISA (ISA) - £3/m.
  • Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) - £10/m

You can upgrade to Plus for £10/m which will give you access to more stocks, order types and ISA inclusive. (the SIPP will also be discounted if you wish to open one)

You need to select the account type for which you want to invest within through the Portfolio tab. You will see an orange button with an arrow which says GIA. If you tap on that you will then be able to select ISA. Funds & Stocks cannot be transferred between GIA and ISA so you need to top up new funds into the ISA and then you can invest.

thank you I will try this when I get home tonight
