Freetrade down [Resolved]

Do agree though that an in app message would be better than a community board - or even a quick tweet to let people know.

I agree.

AJBELL send an email straight away that they are facing problems and it was ok after few hours.

I think freetrade thinks that we don’t know they have problem

Hi all,

Thanks for raising this. I can confirm that the app was up at all times today, however, due increased order volume and market volatility some orders are experiencing a slight delay in processing. If you’re placing orders currently, they might go into “Awaiting confirmation” state and you’ll be notified once they have processed.

Please let me know if you’re seeing any other issue than what I have mentioned above.

Thanks,
Anant

It’s working for me. (Netflix buy)

Come on guys. This is total stupid lie. The order are totally rejected and there is no “awaiting confirmation”.

I have been trying to sell stocks but all of them got rejected. The APP is not working

Been working fine for me. Some pending, but quickly resolved

I managed to sell most of mine but did really struggle with getting ÂŁFGT out of the door. That was rejected a few times (maybe 7 or 8) before finally going through. The rest were just a bit slow. (Just my 2 cents)

Both my IG account and HL, as well as FreeTrade are playing up.
But anyone who is rushing to buy shares now would inevitably be late to the party.

Savvy investors would have bought shares heavily when the market was down.

Hi @Mohsin,

Due to the high market volatility it can be quite possible that some orders will be rejected as there is no one on the other side accepting your order at a reasonable price.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Anant

I’ve sold some shares that went through but the money hasn’t appeared back in my account?

Any one else had this issue.

Of course Anant

There is no demand for BP and MS shares. FYI, they have traded almost 10% of their total shares but you must be right that there is no demand for them. Yes they are up 15% both but you must be right there is no demand for them. There is no volatility for them. HL and AJBell is accepting and processing orders but yes you must be right there is no demand for them

I guess we both should go back to sleep. Everything is fine

What a complete and utter disaster !!!

No, no everything is fine as per @anantsangar

Freetrade can’t be down and they can never be wrong. We are just some idiots that are using their services . Yes they are always correct

I can’t even express how angry I am on these two
here from freetrade . Totally pissed me off

I bought my shares successfully. The purchase did have to wait for confirmation but after around 20 mins, it was sorted.

Maybe you do need to have a nap - maybe you’ll come back being less of a brat and able to read the consistent and reasonable messaging from Freetrade.

I can’t even VIEW my AJ Bell account, nevermind trade! That’s annoying as I wanted to top up my LISA with some iShares Global Clean Energy ETF (INRG)

I have this unshakeable belief/hope that by the time Freetrade is ready to offer LISA, their platform will be even further of the competition than it is now.

I recognise that there are huge issues with the volume of trades, I also couldn’t get Halifax Sharedealing to work properly. Website was completely unresponsive. However, I think I’m nearing losing patience with Freetrade. Last week I had a top-up that didn’t appear for several days because of some technical issue. Today I topped up again and several hours later the amount hasn’t credited the account. Equally, I tried to trade with some cash that was in my account and it’s unclear whether the trade went through. The order says failed but the money for the trade isn’t in my account. I think the whole concept of the App is amazing, trading, particularly modest sums has always been prohibitively expensive but recently it just feels like the systems aren’t reliable/stable. I like trading based on the news, just for a bit of fun but if it takes hours or days for accounts to be topped up it seems to defeat the purpose. There’s so much potential with Freetrade but the user experience is like it’s in Beta at times.

It’s a pretty poor show from AJ Bell. Volatility or no volatility, being locked out of an account with large sums of money is pretty poor.

FreeTrade app has been pretty good.
